Shortly after midnight on Monday (Oct. 1), XXXTentacion posthumously
released the visual to his single "Moonlight." X is credited with
writing the video's treatment and serving up creative direction prior to
his tragic passing in June, while JMP helms the peaceful clip.
The Florida native is found deep in thought by his lonesome under a moonlit tree in the midst of an outdoor party with some friends. X seems to have a smile on his face as he makes his way through the forest gathering with bulky headphones on, assuring he can maintain focus and tune out the surrounding conversations.
Even with everyone else enjoying themselves and dancing along at the party, the "SAD!" artist seems to be satisfied drowning in his own world listening to music, outside of a curly-haired woman temporarily piquing his interest. "Moonlight" topped out at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
<"background-color:black;"> X has notched some premier features in the after-life, making an appearance on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V for the emotional cut "Don't Cry." XXXTentacion will also reportedly be featured on Kanye West's hopefully forthcoming Yandhi album.
